A REVENGE FANTASY

Sam Hunt is approached by an organization to kill her abusive ex.

I wrote this as an exercise in establishing characters and motivation. Any feedback is appreciated!

First few lines:

INT. PLANE - NIGHT

SAM HUNT, 21, flicks COLOURFUL BANGS out of her eyes. She sits near the window of the PLANE, and gazes out.

A MAN, 40, sits next to her, reading a magazine.

MAN

Did you know Paris VanLeigh is going to be at Summer’s afterparty?

Sam slaps the magazine out of his hand.

MAN (CONT'D)

Rude.

Sam sighs, and curls up in the seat as best as one can.

SAM

Is that where we are going?

The man ponders.

MAN

Would that be best?

SAM

Too many people. Depends on the balcony and how well you can forge a note.

MAN

Who said I was helping in any of this?

SAM

Well I assumed since you were sent to babysit me, you would make your self a modiCRUM of useful.

She indicates with her fingers, a crumb.

MAN

Modicum. Is the word.
